Baby Basics has a new date! The Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida can help others in need by uniting to serve our community! Together we can do our best to show that we are “considerate and caring.” Join your Girl Scout sisters and GSSEF Staff and volunteers for our annual infant supply drive during the month of October and through November 4. Collect “baby basics” to be donated to local low income family assistance organizations.
Keep an eye out for the official Baby Basics flyer for more detailed information regarding drop off locations and donation lists. Each girl will receive a FREE “2010 Baby Basics” participation patch. Patches will be available and distributed at the Service Unit level following the drive.
Participants may choose to collect new items from their community or families within the Unit/Troop – or choose to purchase new items with proceeds from the treasury. Visit www.childstats.gov to learn more about childhood poverty.
