More than ever local food banks need your help to stock their pantries and prevent hunger in Southeast Florida!
Join us for our Second Annual GSSEF “Feeding Florida Together” Food Drive:March 1 – 31, 2010.
Help us reach our council-wide goal of “serving up” 50,000 pounds of non- perishable food items during this year’s food drive! Together we can do it!

April 2010: Baby Basics
The Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida can help local families and babies in need by uniting efforts for “Baby Basics” – a Council-wide community service project. Together we can show how Girl Scouts are “considerate and caring” with donations this April.Our Council Goal is 15,000 Baby Care Items. To learn more, click on image:
Community Service has long been a core value of Girl Scouts and a cornerstone in its leadership development program for girls. It reflects the Girl Scout Promise” to help people at all times” and “make the world a better place”. In fact, community service represents one of the three keys (Discover – Connect – Take Action) to leadership in the new Girl Scout Leadership Experience – Take Action!
Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida has a rich tradition of addressing community needs and empowering girls to make a difference. From Council-wide community service projects to service unit, troop or individual projects, Girl Scouts are taking action to improve their communities.
•Girls can choose projects that reflect their own interests and work as individuals or as a group.
•Adult volunteers coach girls on identifying local needs they care about while guiding the girls on reflecting what they are learning.
•Community service projects must adhere to all Safety-Wise standards.
