Dragon Boating
Dragon Boating
Saturday, February 27, 2010, 12:30 PM – 3:30 PM
Have you ever ridden a Dragon? Come see what it’s all about. Girls (and adults) are broken into teams and compete against each other by racing in the Dragon Boats. Some girls will take turns being the drummer making sure their teams follow the beat of the drum to win. Some may be asked to steer the Dragon boat (under supervision) and during our breaks may have water cannon fights to cool off. We travel the uninhabited portion of the intercoastal waterway or mangroves, occasionally spotting dolphins, various bird and wildlife. We do safety training and show how to paddle before getting in the Dragon Boats. No previous knowledge is required. Personal Flotation Devices are provided and must be worn at all times. It’s a lot of fun and teaches girls, Leaders and parents, how to work together as a team.
