Local food banks need your help to stock their pantries and prevent hunger in Southeast Florida! Join us for our Second Annual GSSEF “Feeding Florida Together” Food Drive, and help us to collect non-perishable food items during the month of March 2010. We can do it! Place food collection boxes in your local churches, schools, daycare centers, grocery stores, etc. and get your entire community involved. Then, bring your donation to either GSSEF Service Center between Monday, March 1 and Wednesday, March 31, 2010 and have your donation weighed-in (during normal business hours, excluding weekends, see website for hours of operation).
Each girl will receive a FREE “2010 Food Drive” participation patch! Patches will be mailed to all participants once the Food Drive has ended, in the month of April.
First, Second, Third, Fourth, and Fifth place prizes will be awarded to the troops with the greatest poundage overall. Updates will be posted on our website in early 2010. Participants may choose to collect food from their community or families within the Unit/Troop – or choose to purchase food with proceeds from the treasury.
