At GSSEF, we are also looking for ways to give girls the tools they need to help them lead happy, healthy, successful lives. That’s why we’ve partnered with the Palm Beach International Women’s Film Festival and their screening of Finding Kind.
Two girls go on a road-trip across America to interview hundreds of middle and high school students about the “mean girl” phenomenon of bullying. Their goal: to establish a national school program for girls.
After the screening there will be a panel discussion with local experts on bullying, including Christie Streiter from our council.
The special ticket price for Girl Scouts is $6 and is available for purchase online(special offer coupon password is Girl Scouts) or at the box office the day of the screening. Click here to purchase ticket online.
While we recognize that bullying can happen at any age, the content of this film is most appropriate for girls ages 12 and up. Girls can attend as a troop, with their families, or a group of friends. We also encourage parents and leaders of younger girls attend in order to learn more about this challenging issue and be better prepared to talk with girls about this topic.
