Girl Scout Camp is back and hotter than ever! New activities, new adventures and always new friends – all right here at GSSEF. We have weekend camps (2 night sessions) starting at just $50.
Plus, Saturday one day/night sessions from $15 to $35 per person. Back by popular demand! Mother/Daughter and Father/Daughter camps filled with lots of games, skill building activities and camaraderie! Look for sessions just for out-doorsy Brownies, for the new Gems of S.T.E.M., photography buffs and nature-lovers plus the ever-popular “Camp H2Ohhhh!” for the girls who adore the water. Family Campfires are a perfect night out under the stars.

Camp Open Houses – These dates are correct.
We will host a Camp Open House on Saturday, May 11th at Camp Nocatee from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and at Camp Welaka on Saturday, May 18th from 11 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. This is a great opportunity to meet the camp staff, ask questions, go over paperwork, meet other campers and check out the property.
Camp Sessions
We are proud to recognize Camp Welaka as an accredited camp. This camp, and all our camps, adheres to the American Camp Association (ACA) standards. Experts in the field of camping review camp operations, including health and wellness, food service, trips, sites and buildings and programs.
Resident Camp Sessions
It’s a Wild Life
(Grade Level: Brownie – Ambassador/entering 2-12 grade)
This session is where “the wild” comes to life! Here campers will cohabitate with our wildest friends – while learning about them too. How high can owls fly? What do black bears eat? How far do Florida panthers roam? Which snakes are poisonous? We include nature walks, care for the resident butterfly garden, critter hunts and more. Additionally, girls will experience hands-on activities to learn about environmental issues such as clean water and air, native plants, energy and agriculture. Girls will also be able to earn some requirements for the Naturalist badges as they explore the great outdoors.
Dates: Sunday, June 16 – Saturday, June 22 (6 nights)

Camp H2Ohhh!!
(Grade Level: Junior – Ambassador/entering 4 – 12 grade)
Welcome back to our most popular camp ever! Make a splash in this super-sized session designed for campers who are drawn to the blue water – and all the adventure that goes with it.
Water-wonderful activities will include
surfing, canoeing, beach get-aways, searching for sea turtles, snorkeling and swimming. Day trips include Loggerhead Marine Center, Miami Sea Aquarium, Rapids Water Park and pontoon boat rides.
Dates: Sunday, June 23 – Wednesday, July 3 (10 nights)
Cost: $500.00 per person

He’s With Me
(Grade Level: Brownie/entering 2-3 grade and Junior/entering 4-5 grade)
Are there brothers in your Girl Scout household who beg to go to camp too? Wouldn’t it be cool if he could finally go with her? This new session brings together a fresh approach to family fun with a dash healthy sibling rivalry.
For the first time, Camp Welaka will have “two sides” – for the girls and the boys! Get ready for the silly and sensational “She vs. He” competitions and daily contests, including rope tugs, scavenger hunts, swimming, diving, tent pitching, fire building, canoeing, archery (age 8+) and a huge Rope Runner team showdown. Boys (i.e. the brothers) may only register with a sister who is a currently registered Girl Scout and is entering 2nd-5th grade this Fall. Brothers are not required…girls can register as singles. Sleeping and bathing quarters are separated – but the camp fun is built for one big happy family!

Weekend Camp Sessions
Everything’s Just Beachy!
(Grade Level: Junior/entering 4-5 grade and Cadettes/entering 6-8 grade)
Ever wish you could move the camp site to the shore? Pack up your imagination and your tropical-best for a beach-themed weekend filled with crafts like no-sew beach bags, sand art,
make-your-own flip flops and gorgeous grass skirts. Play beach ball volleyball and make creative castles without the sand. When the sun sets Saturday night – the luau begins! We’re “shore” you’ll have a great time!
Dates: Friday, June 28 – Sunday, June 30 (2 nights)

Camp Snapshot
(Grade Level: Juniors – Ambassadors/entering 4-12 grade)
A picture is worth
1,000 words. Be a part of this photography environment and tell your story through the power of a snapshot. Bring your own digital camera and memory card (or USB cord) as we create a masterpiece by looking through the lens. Cellular phones with video-capturing capabilities are welcome too. We will shoot nature and human nature too! Activities are linked to the Digital Art badges so girls can build skills and earn some requirements too.
Dates: Friday, July 5 – Sunday July 7 (2 nights)

Camp Pink
(Grade Level: Brownie/entering 2-3 grade)
Is pink your signature color? Are you prepared for a pink party all in a super-cool camp setting? Pack your pink PJs for this positively-packed-perfectly-pink weekend camp.
Get “pretty in pink” with pink tie-dye crafts, pink jewelry making and other fashion crafts (like pinky rings!) for a hot pink fashion show! Try pink lemonade or pink marshmallows for the ultimate posh pink s’mores snack!

Camp Invent
(Grade Level: Brownie – Cadette/entering 2- 8 grade)

Our STEM-inspired session offers experiments, exploration and creativity for girls who totally dig the world of science, technology, engineering and math. We will turn camp into a lab for the fizzy and the gooey. Explore the world of renewable energy with our own Solar Array. All campers will bring one small machine to dissect and re-invent as part of our “Gems of STEM” teams.
Girls can earn some requirements for their Innovation badges, as they solve problems by using many methods and teamwork.
Dates: Friday, July 19 – Sunday, July 21 (2 nights)

One-Day Camp Programs
Dude, that’s my Dad!
(Grade Level: All)
Make more of a “Father’s Day” and grab a dad for a fantastic camp experience – together. You and your main man will tackle the camp environment side-by-side and spend quality time together trying new things.
Planned activities include canoeing (at Welaka only), hiking…and don’t forget about outdoor cooking and singing songs.
Get ready to make great memories that will last a lifetime. Price includes dinner, beverages, snacks and s’mores. Participants should bring lunch.

Me & My Daisy
Grade Level: Daisy (entering kindergarten or first grade)
Calling all Daisy Girl Scouts and the women who adore them! Let us introduce you to camp while you enjoy your fun, first footsteps outdoors.
Girls and adults will have activities together – and separately – including a camp critter scavenger hunt, making trail mix and learning silly camp songs. You’ll both meet new friends in an easy-going outdoor adventure.
Please bring a bagged lunch with you. We supply water, snacks and s’mores!

We’ve planned a day for bold Brownies and marvelous moms. This introduction-in-a-day gets pairs ready for future camping with basic camping skills like knife carving, flag ceremonies, nature and fire building.

Campfires
A cracking campfire awaits you. This evening event is the perfect place for your entire group to have a mini-outdoor experience for the first time.
We will stoke a classic campfire (learn the do’s and don’ts) – all served up with sticky s’mores and a side of Girl Scout songs. Tag-alongs may register too.

This family fire is all about the “how to” for cooking up sweet outdoor treats.
