Jennifer Chiarenza

Jennifer, a resident of Palm Beach Gardens, is the Human Resources Manager at The Beach Club in Palm Beach with professional focus on organizational management, leadership training, professional development and skills training. Previous positions include Director of Human Resources at Johnson-Davis, Inc., and Manager of Human Resources Administration at Cruzan International. Jennifer received her advanced designation as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) from the Human Resources Certification Institute in 2007.

Mrs. Chiarenza previously served on the GSSEF Board of Directors in 2011.

Jennifer is a member of The Human Resources Association of Palm Beach County, Society of Human Resources Management, Club Managers Association of America and a member of the National Association of Professional Women. Jennifer moved from New York City to Florida in 1996 and now lives in Palm Beach Gardens with her husband, Tom and daughter, AnnaBella.

Board Development Committee (2015-2017)

Emma Sampson

Emma Sampson, retiree of the City of Oakland Park, gained experience in local government operations through service in the City Manager’s Office, Fire Department, Human Resources, Community Development and Municipal Service Departments. Emma has a Bachelors Degree in Business from Nova Southeastern University and a Masters from the University of Phoenix in Organizational Management. She moved to south Florida from Rochester, New York over twenty years ago and now resides in Deerfield Beach. Emma has two sons and one daughter.

Janet Beets, PHR

Ms. Beets, a resident of Fort Lauderdale, is the Human Resources Director at Uniweld Products, Inc.. She has held this position for 15 years. Her responsibilities include Staffing, Training and Development, OFCCP, Employee and Labor Relations, Benefits, Safety, and Environmental Management Systems.  Prior to Uniweld, she was the “Welfare to Work” Area Coordinator for the University of Florida (IFAS), HR director for a Lumber/Retail Company and Regional HR Supervisor for a retail chain.

Ms. Beets earned her degree in Business Accounting at Fort Lauderdale College, (FAU). She has also earned Certificates from the Human Resource Certification Institute (PHR), and Kaufman Institute (small business management).

Ms. Beets is currently affiliated with the following organizations:  SHRM, the Human Resources Association of Board County (HRABC), School Board of Broward County Business Technology and Drafting Education Advisory Committees ( for the Technical colleges) and the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA). She is also a judge in the annual student competition for Business Professionals of America (BPA)

Ms. Beets has been honored as Executive of the Year and HRABC Hall of Fame member.  She received theSpirit of Excellence Award for Civic Volunteer of the Year in 2003, and  was the first runner-up for the Best Practices Award for the Environmental work at Uniweld Products Inc .

She was the honoree of the South Florida Business Journal’s “Excellence in Human Resources” in 2005 and 2006.  The South Florida Business Journal also honored Ms. Beets in 2006 for Career Achievement.

Ms. Beets has been a Brownie and a Girl Scout.
