WAYS TO VOLUNTEER

Thank you for your interest in Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida! What can you do to make a positive contribution in the lives of girls that still fits into your busy life? Become a Girl Scout Volunteer!

Girl Scouts exist for girls, but it exists because of volunteers. By giving your time and sharing your skills with other Girl Scouts, you can make it possible to for girls to become girls of courage, confidence and character.

There are now several flexible ways for adults like you to get involved by simply matching your expertise, skills, interests, and life experience to the volunteer opportunities available at our Council.

    Some ways you can choose to help out include:

    Work Directly with Girls

    Troop Leader/Assistant Leader:
    Leads a troop or a group of girls based on the Girl Scout program goals.

    Be a mentor by guiding at risk girls.

    Design and/or facilitate a program or event for girls.

    Share a skill, career, or special interest with girls.

    Leadership Team member:
    Volunteer Administrative Manager: Support Girl Scout troop leaders within a geographical area. In partnership with your leadership team, you will help recruit and develop leaders, meet membership goals to ensure girl members grow to become leaders through a quality Gil Scout program.

    Program Manager: Provides program assistance and support to Girl Scout volunteers in order to ensure the Girl Scout program is effectively delivered to meet the needs and interests of the girls. Includes being a resource and facilitating networking and enrichment opportunities.

    Registrar: Processes membership forms of girls and adults in a specific geographical area. These forms then go to Council for submission to GSUSA.

    Community Outreach

    Speak about the Girl Scout organization to community groups .

    Suggest a service project that girls can do to help their community.

    Be a translator and assist with outreach to non-English speaking communities.

    Act as a Public Relations consultant .

    Work with Adults

    Become a Facilitator! Have you ever thought of becoming a facilitator? Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida is looking for volunteers to join our adult learning team. As a Girl Scout facilitator you will empower others to learn by presenting learning sessions and workshops. Whether you’re interested in facilitating outdoor program, specific grade levels or specialized workshops, we need YOU! Please complete the following Become a Facilitator Interest Form and follow the directions for submission.
