Adult Learning/Training

Come meet your fellow volunteers, share skills and knowledge, and find out how our Adult Learning courses and workshops can enhance your Girl Scout Volunteer experience! GSSEF offers numerous Adult learning courses/training in a variety of locations across our Council.

Current Training Programs

All Girl Scout volunteers:
Must complete Girl Scouts – Girl Scouting 101. This course provides an overview and history of the Girl Scout organization, Girl Scout pathways (various ways that girl and adult members participate),volunteer resources, and an overview of the Girl Scout program for girls.
Volunteers who will be directly supporting girls:
> Girl Scouting 101
(Online study session) Overview and introduction to Girl Scouts- for ALL volunteers: prerequisite)

Registration
• Please complete the Adult Learning Registration Form.
•Registering early decreases the risk of finding the training full or canceled due to low enrollment.
•Mail, fax, or deliver your completed registration form to the Oakland Park Service Center with full payment, if required, Attention: Adult Learninga minimum of 14 days before the date of the course or by the closing date. Any questions related to the registration process, please email volunteer@gssef.org.
The Oakland Park Service Center address is 4701 NW 33 Avenue Oakland Park, FL 33309. Fax registrations to: 954-735-2402 Attention: Adult Learning. Courses are confirmed or cancelled after the Closing date. Training courses may be cancelled if there are insufficient registrations.

General Information

•Please bring a notebook or pad and a pen with you to class. Also, you will be advised if you will need to purchase any materials for class.
•Babysitting is NOT provided during training sessions or events. Please make arrangements for childcare while you are attending training courses.
