What are your daughter’s dreams for her future? Who inspires her? What motivates her? Are you thinking about how to prepare her for the world of today and tomorrow? Think Girl Scouts! We provide a safe and nurturing environment where girls can learn to be their best, develop leadership skills, connect with others in a cooperative manner and make a difference in their communities.Girls may register individually or as a troop/group that explore everything from camping to careers. The Girl Scout program is flexible by design.
With Girl Scouts, she’ll get all those things and more. She’ll know she’s having fun, but you’ll know she’s gaining:
→ Important financial literacy skills as she participates in the largest girl-run business in the world—the Girl Scout Cookie Program
→ Healthy relationship skills that will help her navigate through her school years, especially as she moves into middle school and high school
→ Skills that will help her in science classes as she builds robots, conducts fun experiments with her friends, or explores the natural world around her
→ Leadership skills that will make it easier for her to speak up in class and advocate for herself and others
As a parent, you can assist your daughter with making Girl Scouts a part of her schedule by providing encouragement and support as she explores all these news opportunities and adventures. There are also ways for you to participate in Girl Scout activities and to help with her troop. We recommend attending the parent meeting(s) held by your daughter’s troop leader to stay informed of troop activities and needs.
We want every Girl Scout’s experience to be the best it can be. You can make that happen for your daughter—and others—by volunteering or participating in other ways.
In Girl Scouts, girls learn to lead today so that they can become the leaders of tomorrow.
