Golfer Sinks Hole-in-One and Wins a Lexus at Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida Golf Tournament

L-R: Cliff Brush, GM of Lexus of Palm Beach with Dan Hafetz, Lexus winner and Denise Valz, Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida CEO.
Jupiter, FL, June 8, 2009— It was a great day of golf for Dan Hafetz of Parkland, Florida on Saturday, May 30 when he participated in the 10th Annual “On the Green for Girl Scouts” Golf Tournament. Not only did the rain stay away for his round on the exclusive Tom Fazio designed course at Jonathan’s Landing at Old Trail, but he shot a 185 yard hole-in-one to win a three-year lease on a Lexus SI 250.
“After I used my driver and aimed for the pin, I searched the green to see where the ball landed.” said Hafetz. “When we checked the hole, we were all shocked. And then, I realized that this was the hole to shoot for the car. I was totally surprised. What a thrill.”
More than 150 golfers participated in the 10th Annual “On the Green for Girl Scouts” golf tournament this year. The event raised more than $40,000 for the Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida which will support Girl Scout programs and activities in 6 counties.
“We love to work with Girl Scouts,” commented Lexus of Palm Beach General Manager, Cliff Brush. “And we are honored to present this car as part of the Girl Scouts Golf Tournament.” Lexus of Palm Beach is part of AutoNation, the Hole-in-One sponsor.
