Thank you, Girl Scout volunteers!
Every day, Girl Scout volunteers make fun, friendship, and awesome new experiences possible for girls across the country.
That’s why in April (National Volunteer Month!), we join with Points of Light, the world’s largest organization dedicated to volunteer service, to celebrate the powerful and inspiring contributions volunteers make all year long.
And on April 22, the party is especially big, as we celebrate National Girl Scout Leader’s Day. What can we say? We love Girl Scout volunteers the most!
With love, patience, and a deep dedication to enriching the lives of girls everywhere, these incredible individuals give their time every day to mentor, inspire, and help girls discover the world around them and the spark inside of them. We are beyond grateful. Check out this video featuring Girl Scouts expressing their heartfelt thank you to volunteers.
Celebrate with Us on Social Media!
“I’m a Girl Scout volunteer because…”
“I appreciate my Girl Scout volunteer because…”
“Because of Girl Scout volunteers, I…”
Pick one or two—or share on all three! And don’t forget to use #NVW2016!

Each year on February 22, World Thinking Day, girls participate in activities and projects with global themes to honor their sister Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in other countries. World Thinking Day not only gives girls a chance to celebrate international friendships, but is also a reminder that Girl Scouts of the USA is part of a global community—one of 146 countries that are members of WAGGGS (World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts). This year’s theme is “Connect”.
There are tons of other fun and creative ways to connect this World Thinking Day, and to share friendship and adventure on a global scale with so many amazing girls and women!
