A New Year… A New Website

Happy New Year! Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida is thrilled to be celebrating the start of 2013 with the launch aof our brand new website. We have been working on this website for many months and gathered feedback from hundreds of volunteers, girls and staff as to what they wanted the new site to have and how they wanted it to look. We have brought these visions together in this new site. As we launch today, we are excited about some of the new features our site already offers. Among the special additions…

The Brag Board - the perfect place for girls to share their successes! We look forward to having girls post their fun times in Girl Scouts, their ideas and their progress on such things as Gold and Silver Awards, reaching cookie sale goals, and more. Have something to share… please do!

New Videos - Check out your GSSEF staff team as they tell you what Girl Scouts means to them In Three Words. Make sure to take a peek at our new Donate video–providing compelling reasons to support Girl Scouting. We are also working on virtual tours of our Council Stores as well as our Camps… stay tuned.

Great New Navigation – whether you know where your going, or you are new to our website, our enhanced navigation should make it easy for everyone to find just what they are looking for. Navigate by topic (Program, Membership, Cookies & More, Camps & Facilities, Shop, Donate) or by audience (Girls, Parents, Volunteers, Leaders and Alumnae). There is also a handy search tool and an easy-to-view navigation at the bottom of each page. See our sitemap to view where content is located.

New and Improved Home Page Features – Our new home page allows us to feature coming events and programs, new site features and additions, the latest Council news, and much more. You’ll want to come back often to see What’s New!

More coming soon – As the site launches, we are still hard at work adding new features every week. We are working on new and enhanced content, great new Council maps, more videos, interactive forms, and yes, online shopping, which will start with GSUSA merchandise, but we will be adding our Council’s own merchandise as well. Look for online shopping in just a few weeks.

Is there something you’d like to see? Tell us about it… Email our webmaster, Kate Dillon at kdillon@gssef.org. Or post on our Facebook page and tell us what you think. We would love to get your feedback on the new site–what you love and what you would like to see as we continue to work on your GSSEF online experience.

Thank you for all you do for girls!
