For the eighth year in a row, our Cookies for the Military program gives customers an opportunity to donate Girl Scout cookies to send a “taste of home” to our service women and men serving in the armed forces domestically and overseas. This year the goal is to collect enough donations for 55,000 boxes of cookies. Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida has sent more than 268,000 boxes of Girl Scout cookies to our troops since 2009.

On Friday, February 5th from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. stop by any Duffy’s Sports Grill locations in South Florida for the Give a Box, Get a Box event. Anyone that donates a box of Girl Scout cookies to the Cookies for the Military program will receive a FREE box of Girl Scout cookies of their choice while supplies last.

Unable to make it to a Duffy’s location that evening?

You still have an opportunity to get free Girl Scout cookies. Anyone that donates to the Cookies for the Military program online at www.cookiesforthemilitary.org on Friday, February 5th will be entered into a chance to win FREE Girl Scout Cookies for a year!

Cookies 2016 It's GS Cookie Time signwebWhen are cookies more than just a tasty treat? When they are Girl Scout Cookies! From January 21st through February 14th, the simple purchase of Thin Mints, Samoas or any one of the eight delicious varieties provides an important ingredient for leadership by helping Girl Scouts across South Florida develop five key skills: Goal Setting, Decision Making, Money Management, People Skills and Business Ethics.

Girl Scout Cookie Sale Program At A Glance

When: January 21 through February 14, 2016

Where: More than 7,500 Girl Scouts will be selling cookies at cookie booths located outside of local retail establishments (such as Publix), door to door in their neighborhoods and at local businesses and specialty locations. To find a cookie booth near you, click here for the Cookie Locator or call 866-727-GIRL (4475).

Cookie Varieties: There are eight varieties being sold this year including Thin Mints, Tagalongs, Trefoils, Samoas, Savannah Smiles, Do-Si-Dos, Rah Rah Raisins, and gluten-free Toffee-Tastic.

Cost: $4 per box for each variety except the gluten-free Toffee-Tastic which is $5 per box.

Digital Cookie 2.0: This is the second year Girl Scouts will be able to use technology to enhance their cookie sale experience. Digital Cookie 2.0 expands girls’ ability to take their sale “on the go” through a new mobile app, which replicates the transactional elements of the girl’s website, putting control of the sale, from customer contact to completion of the order, squarely in her hands. With this engaging new technology, girls who participate will learn skills to help put them ahead of the curve when entering the workforce, and customers can feel good about supporting girls’ STEM education while purchasing their favorite Girl Scout Cookies.

Cookies for the Military: For the eighth year in a row, Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida is sponsoring their Cookies for the Military program which gives customers an opportunity to donate Girl Scout Cookies to send a “taste of home” to our service women and men serving in the armed forces domestically and overseas. This year the goal is to collect enough donations for 55,000 boxes of cookies. Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida has sent more than 268,000 boxes of Girl Scout cookies to our troops since 2009. Donations can be made at most cookie booth locations or at www.cookiesforthemilitary.org.

Give A Box, Get A Box: Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida has created two, special, one-day only promotions to support their Cookies for the Military program while giving our community a chance to get FREE Girl Scout Cookies.
