>Participating in Girl Scouting can change the way girls see their world and their place in it. Through programs that are girl-driven and by working in partnership with adults, girls learn the importance of personal responsibility, the value of goal-setting, the spirit of teamwork and the thrill of accomplishment.

The Girl Scout Leadership Development Experience incorporates three “keys” to leadership:

Discover: Girls understand themselves and their values and use their knowledge and skills to explore the world.
Connect: Girls care about, inspire, and team with others locally and globally.
Take Action: Girls act to make the world a better place.

In Girl Scouting, Discover Connect Take Action=Leadership. All Girl Scout experiences are intentionally designed to tie to one or more of the 15 national leadership outcomes, or benefits, categorized under the three keys to leadership.

Girls can participate in Girl Scouting as part of a troop or as an individually registered member. All program activities in our Passport and on our Events and Activities Calendar are developed for girls of specific age-levels:

D – Daisies (Kindergarten – Grade 1)
B – Brownies (Grades 2-3)
J – Juniors (Grades 4-5)
C – Cadettes (Grades 6-8)
S – Seniors (Grades 9-10)
A – Ambassadors (Grades 11-12)

Program Opportunities

What do Girl Scouts do? The answer is almost anything a girl would like to do!
