MUSEUM OF DISCOVERY and SCIENCE

Reserve a date to bring your group to the Museum of Discovery and Science for an exciting overnight educational adventure!

• Choose from these camp-in themes: Color My World, Crazy Chemistry, Geology, Egyptian Odyssey, GUTS!, Wild Florida, World of Water, Awesome Animals, Wildlife Wonders, Earthly Connections, Cosmic Kids, Glamour Girls, H2O World, Dance Diva, Mission Space and Weather Watch.
• Supervised, age-appropriate science activities, workshops, exhibit explorations, pizza dinner and live-animal encounters round out a fun-filled evening before “lights-out” in the exhibit sleeping area.
• Group camp-ins are open to scout groups, schools, church groups, recreation center groups and other youth organizations looking for a night of fun and unique activities.

BRILLIANT MINDS YOGA

Make an appointment for Brilliant Yoga to teach Daisies, Brownies, and Juniors yoga at your next meeting! Girls will stretch, breathe, and balance their way to connecting with their body and mind during a one hour or one and half hour yoga class with a certified kids yoga instructor.

• Yoga mats and props are provided.
• Girls will learn how to connect physical movement with the breath, practice challenging balancing poses, assist each other in fun partner poses, and participate in centering activities that calm the mind and empower the body!
• One yoga class provides activities that go towards earning Girl Scout insignia.

FORT LAUDERDALE CHILDREN’S THEATRE

Picture yourself center stage and become a star for a day! Immerse your Girl Scouts in the theatre experience with the theater professionals at Fort Lauderdale Children’s Theatre! Workshops available are:
• Comedy Improvisation (Juniors and up)

Workshops may be structured to include tickets to a Fort Lauderdale Children’s Theatre performance, cast meet and greet and backstage tour! Daisies

• Creative drama-based theatre games develop creativity and confidence in your Daisies! Includes mask craft and theatre fun at our Galleria Mall theater space. Blue, purple or orange Daisy petals can be incorporated upon request. (Minimum 8 girls)

Brownies

• Earn the “Let’s Pretend” or “Dancercize” Try It in our Galleria Mall theater space. Play creative drama games, make a mask and devise and act out your own short play.
• The “People Are Talking” Try It can be incorporated upon request. (Minimum 10 girls)

Juniors

• Earn the “Theater” Badge in a fun backstage and onstage creative workshop at our Galleria Mall theater space. Learn theater make-up techniques, create your own costumes, play theater games and create your own mask for a play you can create with your troop. The “Healthy Relationships” Badge can be incorporated upon request. (Minimum 10 girls)

Cadettes/Seniors/Ambassadors

• Contact us for ways your troop can get involved! Many of our regular community service hour opportunities for teens, including performing and being on backstage crew, will allow them to earn “The Play’s The Thing” or “The Performing Arts” Interest Project Patch.

GREEN MOUSE ACADEMY

At Green Mouse Academy, we provide technology arts workshops designed to bringout the creative technology genius that we believe resides in every child. Help your troop earn badges by completing activities in:

JUNGLE ISLAND

Jungle Island is where your scout troop will learn and grow. Our name has changed, but Jungle Island will remain Miami’s most exciting entertainment destination. Come on over and see our spectacular shows and zip down our giant 168-foot slide.
Encounter exotic animals Peanut and Pumpkin our twin orangutans; a Liger- he’s half-lion and half -tiger; South African Penguins, lovable lemurs, and many more! We have programs day and night! Bring your troop to the jungle and get ready to expect the unexpected.

SCOUT FIELD TRIPS
Jungle Island will open your eyes to the many wonders of science, discovery & learning. Visit our educational exhibits throughout the park and enjoy entertaining shows.

KIDS ECOLOGY CORPS

Involve our girls in understanding their connection and relationship with our Earth. We incorporate fun and creativity, while instilling stewardship. Our motto is: “”Do 10% more or use 10% less,”” than we already do.

• Brownies can fulfill requirements for the “Eco-Explorer” or “Earth is Our Home” Try It.
• Juniors can fulfill all requirements for the “Eco-Action” or the “Environmental Health” Badge.
• We can only do one program at a time. Our programs are generally 1 1/2 to 2 hours and range from $5.50 to $11 per child (varies depending on size of group and program).

LIMELIGHT SALON & SPA

At Limelight, we want girls to feel good about themselves and grow their self esteem. Help the girls earn participation patches by completing one of our 3 workshops. Each workshop includes an emphasis on an important lesson, activities to help involve the girls in learning these lessons, a fun craft to take home and salon or spa services for the girls to enjoy. Bring the girls to a fun destination location which is sure to delight your troop! Most workshops are scheduled on Tuesdays but we will try to accommodate your schedule. Workshops are 1 ½ hours or longer depending upon group size. The cost for a workshop is $25 per girl with minimum group size of 6 girls to a maximum of 20. Snacks and drinks will be provided. CELEBRATE FRIENDSHIP PARTY
It’s time to have fun! Every girl should have a friend and learn the true meaning of friendship. Each girl will make friendship jewelry or a photo album to decorate. A group photo of your troop will be taken and printed for each girl. The girls will get their hair styled and glitter make up for the picture. Daisies will earn the “Respect Myself and Others” Petal. Brownies will earn the “Friends are Fun” Try-It. Juniors will earn the “Looking Your Best” Badge.

UNIQUELY ME! REAL BEAUTY WORKSHOP
All beauty comes from within and with confidence the girls will build their self esteem. The girls will discuss what makes them special and why it is good to be individual and unique. The girls will also discuss the meaning of beauty to them. We will teach the girls about basic skincare. Each girl will receive a personal tote to decorate. The girls will don spa robes and each receive a mini facial & mini manicures. Daisies will earn the “Respect Myself and Others” Petal. Brownies and Juniors will fulfill all requirements for the GSUSA Uniquely Me Program.

MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS
WE will help girls lean the basics of product designing, branding, and promotion. There is a potential for each girl to learn leadership and entrepreneurship. They will design their own spa product and be a part of a business team to promote their own product. This is a fun way for girls to develop their business skills. The girls will also enjoy glitter makeup and mini manicures.

MY DREAM PARTY

My Dream Party is the ultimate party and party planning experience. We specialize not in just parties but also in design and décor providing themes that are clever and out of the ordinary. We bring the party to your location making it a one of a kind party. My Dream Party is a partner with the Girl Scouts!!! Girl Scouts are important to us. That is one reason why My Dream Party has created special theme parties just for the Girls. Each party allows you to add a badge or a patch. We will also customize them just for you. STUFF A FRIEND PARTY
Our Stuff a Friend Party is one of a kind. You have a choice of 50 different animals that you can stuff. All animals are 15 inches Girls get to hand stuff their animals, adding hearts and receiving birth certificates. All girls get to decorate T-shirts for their animals. Everyone takes them home in a cradle.

GLITZ & GLOSS
Our Glitz & Gloss are for all ages. Girls will make their own creations. You get to choose 3 from the following. Body lotion, bath salts, body glitter, shower gel and body spray. Girls get to mix colors and scents to create their own. Included are bottles with labels. Makes great gifts! Each girl will receive a make up care lesson and a certificate.

SUGAR & SPICE
What better way to have fun then making and decorating cookies, cakes and cupcakes. Girls of all ages love this program. It’s fun creative and full of decorating ideas. All girls will decorate cookies to assemble into their terracotta pot. We will also decorate and make cupcake cones. Small cakes also available to decorate on request. Tons of candy, and sprinkles!!

WILTON CAKE DECORATING ICING FUN WORKSHOP
This class is the only Girl Scout decorating Class out there. We will guide you in learning the decorating process. You will be taking baby steps. Your first hour is learning how to use the tools, creating stars and flowers. Our second half of the course start to decorate your own cake that your family and friends will love. As you learn you will gain a sense of pride in your accomplishments.

ALTERED SCRAPBOOKING
The new wave of scrapbooking is doing it the altered way. In this class you will be able to create an altered clipboard, altered notebook and beaded pen. All matching with beautiful papers and embellishments.

TEA PARTY/ MANNERS
Our Tea Party/Manners party is designed for your girls not just for your manners patch, but also for let’s pretend. We will set up the table that will take your breathe away. Using china tea cup and saucers, you will get to pick from our menu to create a one of a kind tea party. We will teach the girls manners and how to treat others.

PALM BEACH ZOO

Bring your scout group to the wildest place in town! With 1,700 exotic and endangered animals and 23 acres of beautiful tropical plants the Palm Beach Zoo is a delightful and educational outdoor classroom.

In addition we offer a wide variety of private education programs with hands-on learning opportunities that can be tailored to meet your Try-It or Badge requirements.

Night Owls Overnight Adventure

• Discover the zoo after hours and meet our creatures of night! This program is ideal for your scout groups and will include Try-It or Badge requirements tailored to the need or your group. Participants enjoy animal encounters, a night tour of the zoo, snack, continental breakfast and wild activities! Overnight times: 6:30 pm – 8:30 am.
  Child: $25.00 per person
  Adult: $15.00 per person
  One free group leader/chaperone for each overnight program. A $100.00 non-refundable deposit is due to reserve a date.

SCIENCE EYE

Science Eye offers exciting hands-on Science Safaris that are simulations of real-life explorations into science. Girl Scouts can assume a new identity and use their meeting site play the role of an actual scientist.

Our programs give the girls a chance to experience the thrill of first-hand contact with science projects that can last from a few hours to a few weeks. From geology and fossils, to gems and minerals, to the human body, rockets, and more, our Science Eye adventures are designed to provide Girl Scouts and troop leaders with a learning experience centered on the real-life applications of the scientific method and science practices.

SPARKLES – CRAFT TIME FOR KIDS

Sparkles is an arts & crafts “activity center” for kids with an easily accessible, spacious studio on Palmetto Park Road in Boca Raton about ¼ mile east of I-95. Since opening in 1999, in addition to hosting numerous scout troops and other groups for field trips, Sparkles has offered an array of activities for children including once-a-week directed arts & crafts series, walk-in times, special events, summer activities, arts & crafts “Mom & Me” and Birthday Parties.

Daisies, Brownies, and Juniors will all find an enjoyable, creative and age appropriate arts & crafts activity at Sparkles. We are happy to customize your activity to a particular interest of your troop or invite you to participate in one of our engaging, step-by-step projects we have shared with other groups over the past decade.

Visits generally are for about 1 ½ hours and Sparkles is happy to extend your stay by adding pizza to a mid-day or early evening field trip. Prices vary depending on group size, time and activity but generally (without pizza) range from $8.50 to $12.50 per child.

SUNLIGHT SADDLE CLUB

Sunlight Saddle Club is designed to suit all equestrian disciplines. Whether you are riding for pleasure or competing for ribbons, our mission is to help you reach your goal, create self-confidence and team work.

We carefully select our school horses and ponies to meet our directive of using safe, well schooled horses. Many of the horses are retired from the shows, others have been chosen for there ability to teach the less confident.

  Camera, Lights, Action! Your inner diva will shine, as you learn the art of communication etiquette in any setting. Each girl will show off her new glamour look, dressing up with feather boas, hats, tiaras, handbags, sunglasses, and microphones, etc. Glam session include glitter lip gloss, glitter eyes hadow, and face jewels creating the Hollywood look. Watch out for the paparazzi, as you strut down the red carpet, flashing your winning smile!

• Covergirlz Fashionistas Bootcamp” for Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors & Ambassadors
  Gather your friends and have a fashionistas party to remember! Experiment with rhinestones, fabric, and fashion, designing and decorating your own t- tank top. You will also learn daily hygiene routine, inside color, beauty & skin care, hair style, and accessories, and circle of friends, while earning your Girl Scouts recognitions badge. Each girl will strut her stuff down the Catwalk striking poses for everyone to see her new design. Models will grace the cover of Covergirlz Magazine! A copy of the next issue of Covergirlz Magazine can be yours at an additional cost. Light refreshments will be served. Each girl will need to bring a blank t-tank top.

• Sparkle Spa Party” for all Grade Levels
  Everyone needs a little pampering to relax, refresh and shine. Let us come to you and create that relaxing spa feeling. Each girl will receive a Mini Mani, Mini Pedi, Nail Designs, Facial, and a Make-Up Application. A spa experience will be created with spa music, candles and the latest pre-teen magazines.

• Dining With Elegance” for Brownies, Juniors, Cadettes, and Seniors
  “Advanced Dinning Etiquette”
  The two-hour class includes introductions, handshakes, and proper dining conversation all during a four-course meal, at one of West Palm Beach’s finest hotel formal dining rooms. Each girl will walk away knowing more than she did during this fast moving class! The class will include a delicious 4 course meal, handouts to take home and a certificate of completion.

UNDERWATER CITY

Travel to our “underwater city” at Dr. Kawa’s office. Upon entry, our lavish reception area is filled with salt-water fish tanks, walls made of marbles and a giant shark bursting through the wall. Come travel and experience the wonderment of our living seas, walk through our 1500 gallon fish tank. Check out our Octopus, Eels, and Seahorses! Enjoy our underwater submarine! UNIVERSITY KARATE CENTER

In addition to developing balance, coordination, flexibility, agility, physical fitness our program is designed to increase perceptual skills while promoting emotional balance. By improving a girl’s ability to respond competently in the face of aggression our program will increase your confidence.

The more confident girls are, they are more likely to display and promote essential values of cooperation, respect, perseverance and courage.

YOUNG AT ART CHILDREN’s MUSEUM

Get ready to get hands-on at Young At Art Children’s Museum.
The Museum provides hands-on arts, cultural and educational experiences that awaken creativity in a fun and enriching environment. Our programs include:

Young at Art “Art-rageous Adventure” Patch:
Daisies, Brownies and Juniors can earn the specially designed Young At Art Patch. Program includes a Kenny Scharf’s Closet Tour, Self Portrait Silk Screen workshop and a Mix Media Collage workshop.

Daisy Petal Programs:
Go Green and earn petals. Earn your Green Petal as you Reduce, Reuse and Recycle and learn to use your resources wisely. Program includes a guided tour of Earthworks exhibit and a hands-on Papermaking workshop.

Junior Badge workshops:
Earn all the credits required for a Badge in a fun hands-on environment. Junior badge workshops include: Art in 3D, Ceramics and Clay (includes studio workshops, firings, and clay) or Camera Shots/Photography (includes darkroom/lab workshop and developing supplies).

Art-rageous Overnight Adventures:
A night at the museum you won’t forget. Brownies and Juniors can earn a Try It or Badge, then spend the night.

Self-Guided Museum Adventure:
Make the most of your museum visit. Scout leaders receive a checklist with activities that earn credits towards Petals, Try It and Badges.
