Thank you to everyone who participated in our 11th annual Thin Mint Sprint 5k race and NEW 1-mile Family Fun Run event. This year we held the Thin Mint Sprint at Okeeheelee Park in West Palm Beach and all proceeds benefited Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida. Get ready for a classic 5k experience that you know and love. The Thin Mint Sprint is a chip-timed race provided by AccuChip on Sunday, May 1 at Okeeheelee Park. Check-in will start at 6:15 a.m., with the race beginning at 7 a.m. Awards will be given out in a variety of categories and every participant will receive a finisher medal!

Race Day Schedule:

6:15 a.m.– Packet pick-up available
6:45 a.m. – Race Warm-Up
7:00 a.m. – 5K Run begins
8:00 a.m. – Awards announcements begin in front of Micanopy Picnic Pavilion

Participants can begin gathering in the grass near the Micanopy Picnic Pavilion starting at 6:15 a.m. Packet Pick-Up will be available starting at 6:15 a.m.

After the race, participants can gather in front of the Micanopy Picnic Pavilion for music and refreshments while waiting for awards announcements.

$45 Registration Fee

The Thin Mint Sprint (5K) has SOLD OUT! We can’t thank you enough for your support! Many have reached out asking if they can still register for this annual race supporting the Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida and we are excited to reopen for additional registrations. Please note that due to limited supplies those registering after April 22 will NOT receive a commemorative shirt or finisher medal.

Packet pickup will be held on

Tuesday, April 26 from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. at Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida Headquarters (6944 Lake Worth Road Lake Worth, FL 33467)

Sunday, May 1 (Race Day) from 6:15 a.m. to 6:45 a.m. at Okeeheelee Park (7715 Forest Hill Blvd West Palm Beach, FL 33413)

Shirt Size Confirmation

Commemorative Sport Shirts are included in the registration fee for the race, but the shirt size deadline is March 24, 2022. Once you have registered for the Thin Mint Sprint 5k, be on the lookout for an email to submit your shirt size! Sizes cannot be guaranteed if you submit your shirt size after March 24, 2022. If your size is unavailable, you will be given the next available size up. If you do not submit your shirt size, size choices may be limited.

Award Categories

Overall Awards: Overall Awards will be as follows:

Men – 1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place
Women – 1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place

Masters (Over 40): Masters Awards will go to the top finishers 40 years or older as follows:

Men – 1st Place
Women – 1st Place

Age Groups (5 year intervals): Age group medals can be picked up at the designated tables on race day for the top three men and the top three women in the following age groups:

0-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+

It’s time to get active and test your skills in this year’s superhero-themed Family Fun Run! Girl Scouts and their families are invited to a mile of fun, open to all ages and skill levels on Sunday, May 1 at Okeeheelee Park. You can jam out with our DJ before and after the run and participate in four activity stations along the way! We’ll kick off the program by getting suited up and moving our bodies with Zumba at 8:45 a.m. before flying off to embark on our superhero training.

Family Fun Run Schedule:

8:30 AM – Check-In Begins with activities and music
8:45 AM – Zumba

Adult Supervision

Adult supervision is required at this event and more details will be provided in your confirmation email after registering.

GSUSA establishes adult supervision requirements for Girl Scout activities. Adults registering for this program acknowledge they will be required to provide adult supervision to girls participating in this program.

2021 Race Results

Thank you to everyone who participated in our 10th annual Thin Mint Sprint! The 2021 Thin Mint Sprint event featured an in-person 5K race, the option for a Virtual 5K, and our Tagalong Trot kid's race.
