Splash into Welaka - 2022 Summer Resident Camp

Girl Scouts will SPLASH into Welaka with water-centric activities like extra pool time, paddle sports, water relays, and exploring the science of aquatic ecosystems. Campers will also enjoy favorites like crafts, hiking, and making new friends!

Daily activities will include crafts, flag ceremonies, time in the pool, and F.O.B. (that's quiet/rest time). All meals and snacks are included in the program fee AND Campers will receive a Splash into Welaka Resident Camp 2022 fun patch and camp t-shirt!

Resident Camp is a time for campers to build their confidence and independence in an environment where they are empowered by their peers and camp staff to try new things. Check out our GSSEF Blog to learn more about the benefits of Resident Camp.

Counselor in Training Program (CIT)

GSSEF is excited to offer a limited number of Senior and Ambassador Girl Scouts an opportunity to participate in the Counselor in Training program and earn either their CIT I or CIT II pin during our resident camp session in 2022. It’s a totally unique leadership experience that high-school-age Girl Scouts will remember forever!

Girls will spend camp sessions with our pro-staff team to receive training, observe adult counselors and staff, and plan and lead activities of our campers.

Check out last year's Drifting Back to Welaka Summer Camp

GSSEF “drifted” back to Camp Welaka in 2021 – and our summer campers had a blast! Three sold-out resident camp sessions were jam-packed with adventure and friendship. Camp Welaka provided a beautiful backdrop with its’ signature Lake Akalew, Loxahatchee River, towering trees, trails, and wildlife. If you missed it this year, check out our photo album.
