Program Tracks

Welaka Wonders

This camp session is all about classic camp fun! Girls will enjoy water activities like canoeing, making crafts, archery or slingshots, and so much more as they sample all of Welaka’s Wonders!

Camp Creativity

Girls will channel their creativity in this camp session all about crafts and outdoor cooking fun! Throughout their session, girls will explore age-appropriate camp crafts and outdoor cooking techniques as well as other classic camp traditions.

Paddle Sports Stars

Girls will explore the three paddle sports: canoeing, kayaking, and stand-up paddle boarding throughout their session. They will finish up their week with a paddle trip on the Loxahatchee river that runs right through the heart of Welaka!

Nature Nurturers

Girls will explore the ecosystems and wildlife around camp while learning how to conserve and protect our natural resources. They will participate in testing the water in Lake Akelew, making homemade bug spray, and putting the Leave No Trace principles to use during their camp adventures.

Camp-In-Camp-Out

Girls will learn and hone their outdoor skills like knot-tying, tent pitching, fire building and outdoor cooking. As a true test of their skills, they will head out for a night under the stars for a primitive camping adventure in a remote area of the camp property.

Counselor in Training Program (CIT)

We are excited to offer a limited number of Senior and Ambassador Girl Scouts an opportunity to participate in the Counselor in Training program and earn either their CIT I or CIT II pin.

Girls will spend all three camp sessions with us. They will receive training, then will have an opportunity to observe adult counselors, and then finally plan and lead activities of younger girls.
