Packet Pick Up

Packet pick up is required this year in order to keep participants and staff safe.This is when all participants (both in-person and virtual) will receive their runner's bib, finisher's medal, event patch, Thin Mint cookies, and race packet. There will be NO RACE-DAY PACKET PICK-UP or REGISTRATION.

Everything must be picked up in advance during one of the following packet pickup times:

Tuesday, March 2 from 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. at both GSSEF Retail Store locations

The registration price includes a race bib, finishers medal, event patch, and box of Thin Mint cookies!
Register Early and Save:
  • $20 for registered Girl Scout members 5K (in-person and virtual)
  • $30 for General Public 5K (in-person and virtual)
  • $15 for Tagalong Trot Kid's Run (kids 8 and under)
Price Increase After February 7, 2021, at 11:59 p.m.:
  • $25 for registered Girl Scout members 5K (in-person and virtual)
  • $35 for General Public 5K (in-person and virtual)
  • $15 for Tagalong Trot Kid's Run (kids 8 and under)
Please note: your race packet and swag bag will need to be picked up prior to the race (pick up dates TBA). All participants must register prior to the event by March 1. There will be no onsite registration.
Virtual 5K Fun Run

Can't join us in person? No problem! Anyone can participate in the 2021 Thin Mint Sprint by signing up for our virtual fun run. The Virtual 5K fun run will take place from March 5 - 7, 2021, to give runners enough time to participate. Feel free to run, jog, or walk at a location you are comfortable with.

Virtual participants will need to pick up their race packets and swag bag prior to March 5. We will have a variety of pick up locations and dates available, to be announced soon.

Healthier Jupiter Walk Audit
This year you have the opportunity to do a 5K, while participating in a walk audit. A Walk Audit is one of the best tools we have as community members! A Walk Audit is a way to document how walkers (or pedestrians) and drivers use a street or intersection. They go through a checklist to see if streets are safe, comfortable, convenient, or not. As more community members collect data, Healthier Jupiter shares it with local leaders to advocate for safer and better streets and sidewalks. If we have safer sidewalks and streets, more people will be comfortable to go out for a walk or bike and get in their daily physical activity!

In addition to the Thin Mint Sprint registration, you will also need to register for the Healthier Jupiter Walk Audit

Virtual 5k Giveaway
Enter to win a health & wellness basket that includes facial treatments at BeWell Spa valued at $110, a one hour Signature Massage at Lane Spa valued at $82, and a one hour session at Body & Soul PT valued at $195!

Registered participants of the Thin Mint Sprint Virtual 5K who post a picture with their race gear on either Facebook or Instagram, tagging both @GSSEF and #ThinMintSprint2021 will be entered into our drawing. Posts must occur between March 5 - 7, 2021 to be eligible. The winner will be announced on Monday, March 8.



Anyone who participates in the Thin Mint Sprint, whether it's in-person or virtual, has the chance to fundraise to support our cause AND earn a commemorative shirt after raising $30 or more (in addition to registration fees) by February 8th at 11:59 p.m.  

You can make this gift yourself or you can spread the word about Girl Scouts by asking those you know to give even just a small amount to support the cause. To easily reach your $30 goal, all it takes is asking just 6 friends for only $5 - that's it! 

Instructions to Participate:

  1. Register for the Thin Mint Sprint
  2. Check your inbox for a confirmation email with a link to set up your fundraising page
  3. Create a fundraising page for yourself or your team 
  4. Set a fundraising goal for a minimum of $30 for just yourself or $30 for each person on your team (5 people on a team x $30 = $150 goal)
  5. Fundraise and spread the word about all the awesome work we do at Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida
  6. Raise at least $30 individually, or an average of $30 or more per person on your team, by February 8 at 11:59 p.m. to get your exclusive t-shirt when you check-in at the Thin Mint Sprint 
COVID-19 Policy

Registered participants will receive important safety updates and event guidelines prior to the event.

  • Face masks are mandatory for all race participants, staff, vendors, and volunteers.
  • Participants/runners will be required to wear their mask prior to starting and as soon as they cross the finish line. We ask you to not discard any PPE, masks, or gloves on the ground.
  • Race participants must stay home if they are feeling ill, have a fever, or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 in the past 14 days.
  • All runners, staff, vendors, and volunteers are asked to take their temperature prior to attending the race. Anyone who has a temperature reading over 100 degrees should not attend the event.
  • Race participants will be notified of their start time the week prior. The start time will be in waves of 3-minute increments with 10 runners every three minutes. There will be cones at the start to mark the distance between each runner by 6 feet. *Participants will be notified of their time slot prior to the race.
  • If a participant, staff, or volunteer experiences symptoms, contracts the virus or is exposed to the virus GSSEF will notify the County Health Department, participants, families, staff, or volunteers.
  • Social distancing is required at all times within the race and park facility.
  • Staff, volunteers, and participants must bring their own water, beverage, snacks to consume before, during, and after the event.
  • All registration will be performed electronically, and there will be no on-site registration. Please monitor your event email for specific packet pick up dates and times.
  • There is no onsite awards ceremony, and we will be issuing awards post-event via email.
  • GSSEF will assess new developments related to COVID-19 guidelines and how they may affect their operations.
  •  Participants must leave the event area and return to their cars immediately after their event wave ends.
  • In the event of bad weather--including but not limited to rain, lightning delays, etc.—participants, staff, and volunteers cannot congregate under tents, overhangs, or other covered structures in the near proximity of other gatherings or heavy foot traffic. Social and mass gathering guidelines must be maintained at all times.

Everyone who participated in the chip-timed 5K received a finisher medal and a free box of Girl Scout Thin Mint cookies as a reward for a job well done. In addition, there were awards for the top three finishers across many different age categories. 

Registered members of Girl Scouts under the age of 18 also received a Thin Mint Sprint patch. Girl Scouts who beat our CEO, Lisa Johnson's, race time earned the Thin Mint Sprint "I Beat the CEO" patch (recipients will only receive one patch total).
