Hatchet throwing is our newest addition to our target sports line up
at GSSEF. Hatchet throwing is approved for Cadettes, Seniors, and
Ambassadors. During this training, you will learn how to safely
facilitate hatchet throwing for older Girl Scouts and adults as you
learn the fundamentals of the sport, how to properly handle and throw
hatchets, how to play and score the game as well as how to reserve the
hatchet range for your troop/group.
What to wear:
Closed toe shoes with socks and weather-appropriate clothing. Please
do not wear dangling clothing or earrings while participating in
hatchet throwing.
What to bring:
Packed lunch and snacks, a refillable water bottle, bug spray,
sunscreen, hat/sunglasses, and a small backpack/bag to carry your
things in.
This council-specific training is required to
facilitate Hatchet Throwing with Girl Scouts at Camp Nocatee. You will
receive a training card signed by the instructor upon successfully
completing the training. If you already have a GSSEF Training Card,
please bring it with you so the instructor can add it to your existing
trainings.
You will receive a printed copy of the Hatchet
Throwing Manual and a whistle at the training.
Registration will close on 2/23/2025.
