Our in-person Girl Scouts Love State Parks program at Hugh Taylor
Birch State Park will include:
Activities:
- Service Project: 9:00am - 10:00am Beach Cleanup
- Ranger Guided Tour: 10:30am - 11:30am with Ranger Marc
- LUNCH on your own: blocked out the Manatee pavilion for your use (#11 on the attached park map) or you can use the picnic tables near the lagoon if you have a smaller group 15 or less.
- Barefoot Mailman Program: 1:00pm - 2:00pm
Parking Instructions: I would recommend
parking in the beach hammock lot for your beach cleanup, first lot on
the right after entering the park.
Meetup
location: Beach Cleanup will meet between #s 4, 5, &6 on
the attached map; Ranger Guided Tour meets at the Ranger Station, #1;
Special Program meets at the same location as the cleanup
What to bring: Sunscreen & bug spray, clothing
for being outside in the heat (sunglasses, hats, etc.), and reusable
water bottles.
Park entry is waived as part of the program fee due to
the service project element.
