Media Girlz are outgoing and passionate about Girl Scouts
Every year we look for 10-15 Girl Scouts who embody courage, confidence, and character to join the GSSEF Media Girlz Team. Open to Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors—these Girl Scouts are outgoing, well-spoken, love the spotlight, and are the official faces and voices of GSSEF.
Media Girlz is a year-long program that gives Girl Scouts the chance to be included in media opportunities, invited to participate in special events and attend business functions, take part in our social media and virtual experiences, model in council photoshoots — PLUS, learn about public speaking, creating talking points, and business etiquette. And of course, they’ll have plenty of time to shine in front of the camera and have some fun too.
How to Join the Team
Online applications are currently open to Junior, Cadette, Senior, and Ambassador Girl Scouts for the 2026-2027 team.
Completed applications are due by Sunday, September 20, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.
All Media Girlz will be required to attend an in-person media training session on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM at the GSSEF Administrative Headquarters in Lake Worth, as well as our Media Girlz 2026-2027 Team Photo Shoot on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 10 AM – 1 PM at Little's Photography in Ft. Lauderdale.
