Camp Telogia, nestled within the heart of Parkland in Broward County, is a sacred space where generations of Girl Scouts have forged Courage, Confidence, and Character.
As part of our CAMPaign Immokalee—named in honor of the Seminole and Miccosukee word for “my home” - Camp Telogia is being reimagined as a modern sanctuary for today’s Girl Scouts, while preserving the timeless essence that made it magical in the first place.
Camp Telgoia, established in 1961, this beloved property reflects the strength and resilience of South Florida’s girls, who have grown up within its rustic cabins, open-air pavilions, and shaded trails.
Its name, “Telogia,” is derived from the native palmetto trees that flourish across the camp’s terrain, symbols of rootedness, strength, and flexibility. For decades, this camp has served more than just a weekend's getaway; it is a rite of passage and a second home.
This is more than a renovation—it is a renewal of our promise to girls. By investing in Camp Telogia, donors are helping ensure that every girl, no matter her background, can experience a safe, enriching, and empowering camp environment for generations to come. Now, we stand at a crucial juncture, facing a comprehensive renovation project with a total cost of $4,950,000.
Our Green Thumb lodge is a dedicated space to greet campers and guests, serve as a central gathering hub, and host troop check-ins and parent orientations.
Native landscaping, pollinator gardens, and sustainable building practices to reinforce environmental stewardship.
Storm-resistant structures, improved lighting, and updated utilities to withstand Florida’s natural elements.
Prioritizing ADA-compliant facilities to ensure inclusion and dignity for all Girl Scouts and troop leaders.
