For over seven decades, Camp Welaka has been a sanctuary of growth, adventure, and leadership for countless Girl Scouts in Southeast Florida. Nestled within 640 acres of pristine wilderness, this cherished camp has stood as a testament to the enduring spirit of the Girl Scout movement. However, as we look to the future, we recognize the need to preserve and enhance this legacy for generations to come.

Key Enhancements
Since its inception, Camp Welaka has weathered storms both literal and figurative. The passage of time and the forces of nature have taken their toll on this beloved camp. Now, we stand at a crucial juncture, facing a comprehensive renovation project with a total cost of $2,350,880.
This renovation isn't just about updating facilities; it's about creating a safe, modern, and inspiring environment where girls can continue to grow, learn, and lead.

In summer 2025, Camp Welaka staff and campers were the first to experience a newly renovated kitchen, thanks to the generous support of The Huckleberry Foundation.

Archery Range
In summer 2025, we officially completed our brand new archery range, thanks to the generous support of The Batchelor Foundation.
This permanent space includes a designated area for safe instruction, shade, and plenty of room for girls to learn, watch, and grow their skills in this exciting target sport.
