Hatchet throwing is our newest addition to our target sports line up
at GSSEF. Hatchet throwing is approved for Cadettes, Seniors, and
Ambassadors. During this training, you will learn how to safely
facilitate hatchet throwing for older Girl Scouts and adults as you
learn the fundamentals of the sport, how to properly handle and throw
hatchets, how to play and score the game as well as how to reserve the
hatchet range for your troop/group.
What to wear:
Closed toe shoes with socks and weather-appropriate clothing. Please
do not wear dangling clothing or earrings while participating in
hatchet throwing.
This council-specific training is
required to facilitate Hatchet Throwing with Girl Scouts at Camp
Nocatee. You will receive a training card signed by the instructor
upon successfully completing the training. If you already have a GSSEF
Training Card, please bring it with you so the instructor can add it
to your existing trainings.
You will receive a printed
copy of the Hatchet Throwing Manual at the training.

$30 per GSSEF Adult
$30 per Out of Council Adult

Tagalongs are NOT permitted for this event.

Program Confirmation:
Once you have registered you can find the program information by logging into your MYGS account, going to My Events and selecting the event. There you will be able to find the exact location. A confirmation email will be sent out prior to the scheduled program with all the necessary information. If you register after this time, you will need to contact customer care for information.
Financial Aid:
Adult Financial Aid - Financial Aid is available for GSSEF adult volunteers to register for adult trainings. Financial Aid approval is dependent on availability of funds.
Program Funding:
Our programs are made possible with funding from grants. To help justify this funding, we have been asked to have participants complete a pre/post survey relating to this program. We thank you for your cooperation in helping to provide our Girl Scouts with amazing programs.
