A typical day during resident camp has a structured routine with openings for a variety of activities. The day begins for the entire camp with a flag ceremony and breakfast at the Lodge. After breakfast, units will enjoy activities of their choosing until lunch where the entire camp meets again in the lodge. After lunch, there is an in-unit break time called FOB (feet on the bed, flat on back) to avoid the hottest part of the day, then on to MORE activities! The entire camp meets again for the closing flag ceremony and dinner in the lodge. After dinner, there is an all-camp activity each night.
Each unit has a pool time and craft time each day. There will also be scheduled activities to earn the Welaka: “Then And Now” Council Badge. Other activities can include canoeing, archery, slingshots, hiking, badgework, team building games, and whatever else our girls can come up with in their girl planning time within the scope of our resources. All-camp activities can include campfires, skit nights, or themed celebrations.
