During this program, we will be taking the flight of a lifetime as we
discover, explore and take action for butterflies. Today's virtual
experience will include everything from the lifecycle of butterflies
to the different species and characteristics to why butterflies are so
important to protect and so much more.
Just like the butterflies
we will learn about, you will also take a fantastic journey today as
we visit butterfly gardens and advocates in South Florida, Missouri,
Minnesota, Michigan and all the way to India!
This badge
program has been developed to meet all the activity requirements for
the badge for all levels of girl. Each level has a required number of
segments to watch: Daisies - 3, Brownies - 4, Juniors - 6 and
Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors all of the included segments. We
know the girls will enjoy the whole program, but they may take a break
and come back to the recording if they would like. All levels of girls
are required to complete a Take Action Project to earn their badge. We
have included a helpful guide to inspire you as you prepare for your
Take Action Project.
This event will be open for
registration the entire month of May. An email with the video and
Activity Guide will be sent out on each Monday of the month. There is
only one video, and your Girl Scout can watch and complete the
necessary activities at her own pace.
The GSSEF Girl
Scouts Love Butterflies Council's Own Badges are a circle and the same
for all levels. Badges will be mailed out in June after the
registration for the program closes.
