Girls will enjoy Girl Scout traditions, sing songs, make s'mores, create SWAPs and celebrate sisterhood. Girl Scout traditions are still an important part of girl scouting more than 100 years later! This campfire is recommended for girls in grades Kindergarten through 12th grade. There will be opportunities to practice the Girl Scout Promise and Law, meet women leaders in STEM careers, and participate in a Juliette Low Eternal Flame ceremony.

The Girl Scout Way badge for the appropriate grade level is included in the program fee.

Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors - the requirements for the GS Way badge for these levels include working with younger girls. Older girls will be required to register online and volunteer at the event to complete this requirement. Volunteer positions will be coordinated directly with the River Center staff. Please email education@lrecd.org to coordinate.

This program will run, rain or shine. No Tagalongs please. There will not be any walk-up registrations for this program.

A waiver will be required for all participants including adults. Complete online waiver here: https://waiver.smartwaiver.com/v/girlscout/

What to wear: Closed toe shoes and dress for the weather.
What to bring: Flashlight, hair tie/bandana, bug spray, and a drawstring bag to carry your things in.

Have a friend interested in Girl Scouts? Register them as a nonmember to attend this program to get a taste of the GS Way with you! This is a recruitment event and nonmember girls are encouraged to attend.

Please restrict adult registrations to the required number of adults to cover the girl to adult ratio for your troop/group in order to allow more girls to register.

Registration will close 10/30/2026.
