Join us for a day of camp fun at Camp Welaka as we celebrate all things outdoors where you pick your adventure! Activities include Fishing, Canoeing, Outdoor Cooking experiences (open fire), Archery (must be in 2nd grade), Slackline, Crafts, STEM Science, Hiking, and so much more! This program is great for first time camp visitors to see what camp has to offer as well as for returning visitors to enjoy a mix of their favorite activities at Camp Welaka.

Get up close to real Florida animals during a special show from 2-3 PM each day starring the animal ambassadors from Busch Wildlife Sanctuary!

This year's theme animal is the Florida Scrub Jay. Make sure to check out the special activity presented by our special guests, the rangers of Jonathan Dickinson, to learn about this incredible bird only found in Florida.

We Heart Welaka is a great time to check out the camp as you plan for summer 2027! You can see the units that campers stay in, try out some of our great camp activities as well as speak to some of our summer camp staff throughout the day.

We Heart Welaka T-shirts are available for purchase at an additional cost to the program fee. T-shirts will be $20 each if preordered before 11-16-26 for your requested size or you can purchase one after that date or on the day of the event (preferred sizes not guaranteed without preorder.) Don't miss out on these beautiful additions to your camp wardrobe!

All participants must wear closed-toe, closed-heel shoes like sneakers or boots with socks. Please dress with the weather in mind and prepare for rain as this is a rain or shine event.

This event includes a lunch break from 12:30 PM - 1:15 PM for all participants to sit, relax and enjoy your own B.Y.O.P. picnic lunch. Select a shady tree, under a pavilion, or next to the lake.  ACTIVITIES WILL PAUSE DURING THE LUNCH BREAK. Bring coolers for your packed lunch, with camp chairs, blankets and whatever else your group will need.

Suggested essentials: bring a day bag (backpack) with a refillable water bottle, sunscreen, bug spray, hat, and sunglasses as well as a packed lunch and snacks. For canoeing, we recommend water shoes or old sneakers as your feet will get wet.

Registration deadline will be December 2nd or when we reach capacity.
