Earn the CareerSpark! Patch
Girls that attend a CareerSpark! speaker event will receive a custom GSSEF CareerSpark! patch.
Not only do we offer yearly signature events, council-wide community service projects, and expert partner programs, but now GSSEF has annual program series for girls to participate in! These series are unique and ever-changing as new opportunities present themselves. Not only can girls pick and choose which programs to participate in, they can earn exclusive program patches, too!
The CareerSpark! virtual series provides Girl Scouts the opportunity for career exploration across a variety of industries with a new speaker each quarter. They will get to hear from individuals from different careers and learn about topics including: what it's like to work in the field (mission, goals, duties, responsibilities, etc.), the requirements (education, skills, experience, etc.), and the status of women within the field.
Each quarter a new CareerSpark! program will be available for Girl
Scouts to explore. The cost of the program is $10.00 for in-council
members and $12.00 for out-of-council members. The price includes a
live experience and CareerSpark! patch.
Stay tuned for more speaker announcements soon! To find out about the upcoming CareerSpark! virtual events, search our Event Listings >>

Girl Scout Mariners is an adventure track for Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors to explore all thing in, on or near the water. Girl Scouts can choose to join a Mariner troop or participate as an individual in the activities required to earn their Girl Scout Mariner pin. Girl Scout Mariner activities may include paddle sports, sailing, snorkeling, swimming, marine science and conservation, and anything else relating to water. Our GSSEF programs for Girl Scout Mariners include:
Mariner Girl Scout, What’s That About? – This program is a day program where Girl Scouts can explore different Mariner activities while learning more about the Girl Scout Mariner track.
Mariners, Ahoy! – This is a two-night overnight where Girl Scouts can complete some of the requirements towards earning their Girl Scout Mariner pin as they dive into the curriculum.
Girl Scout Trailblazers is an adventure track for Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors to get out on the trail and explore the land. Just like the Girl Scout Mariner program, Girl Scouts can choose to join a Trailblazer troop or participate as an individual in the activities required to earn their Girl Scout Trailblazer pin. Trailblazers focus on five concentrations including hiking, camping, stewardship, survivorship, and adventure sports. Our GSSEF programs for Girl Scout Trailblazers include:
Backpacking Basics – This day program provides the tools necessary to head out on the trail with activities focused on planning, preparing, and being safe outdoors. Girl Scout Trailblazers learn the fundamentals of hiking during this program which is one of the three requirements to earn the Girl Scout Trailblazer pin.
Stewardship Stars – This day program focuses on the stewardship concentration of the Trailblazer curriculum as Girl Scouts take action for the environment. Girl Scouts will learn what stewardship really means, think of new ways they can be stewards of the environment, and take part in a stewardship project at camp! This program also covers one of the three requirements to earn the Girl Scout Trailblazer pin.
