Who powers the world? GIRLS! Join Women in Energy for an exciting STEM-focused CareerSpark! where Girl Scouts will explore renewable energy, engineering, and careers in the energy industry through hands-on learning and teamwork.

Girls will meet with NextEra's Women in Energy at their brand new Kyoto Gardens campus where they will learn about the energy industry, how electricity is generated, and the important role renewable energy plays in powering our communities. Volunteers from Women in Energy will share information about the company, careers in energy, and the growing importance of clean energy technologies.

Then, girls will team up to tackle a hands-on engineering challenge: turning a recycled soda can into a functioning solar powered car! After assembly, girls will head outside to put their solar rovers to the test and see renewable energy in action. Whether you're an innovator, an environmentalist, or still trying to figure it all out, renewable energy is powering your future! Come learn how to be part of one of the fastest growing career fields in the country!

Please note that due to space limitations and visitor guidelines at the NextEra facility this is a drop-off event ONLY. No parents, guardians, or troop leaders will be permitted to stay for the program.
