Participants are encouraged to bring their favorite teddy bear as they explore the fascinating world of bears through interactive nature stations, games, crafts, storytelling, and outdoor adventures. Although there are no wild bears at Long Key Nature Preserve, bears are an important part of North America's natural heritage. Through engaging educational activities, girls will learn about different bear species, their habitats, diets, behaviors, adaptations, and the important role bears play in healthy ecosystems around the world. Activities encourage curiosity, respect for wildlife, teamwork, and stewardship of natural spaces while girls enjoy their picnic lunches brought from home while relaxing with their teddy bears.

The program supports the Girl Scout Daisy Animal Observer Badge and the Brownie Eco Friend Badge (badges are not included in program fee.)

What to bring: teddy bear, picnic lunch, water and drinks.

What to wear: weather appropriate clothing with closed toe shoes/sneakers.
